1000 Watt Ballasts

Here are few things to know about ballasts while you're looking around.

• The ballasts available with a few options.  We have digital ballasts, metal halide ballasts, high pressure sodium ballasts, and switchable ballsts that run both hps and mh lamps.
• The 1000 watt ballasts perform best in large reflectors, and the light will cover roughly a 4 ft x 4 ft tray for plants that love light, and an 8 ft x 8 ft area for most other plants. 
• Digital ballasts perform very well.  They can make the lights perform better and brighter.  Plants grow larger and faster under digital ballsts over magnetic ballasts.
• A 1000 watt light system (that's the lamp and the ballast) can put out around 3500 BTU.
• The magnetic ballasts may hum. The digital ballasts are silent.
• Most ballasts operate well on either 110 volts or 240 volts.
